To celebrate the opening of our new store at 199 Lafayette we gathered a group of recreationalists for a Sunday jog.
Inspiration 4.2: Real People – Really good campaigns
Outdoor Voices is a rapidly up and coming sportswear clothing brand that maintains its slogan of making fitness wear for “real people” and that you can wear it for more casual everyday exercise. This brand not only has beautiful aesthetics and graphics reminiscent of the reformation (1.1), but it chooses to focus its energy towards the benefit of the people wearing its clothing. I love the idea of not only thinking of the effect ones design has on a community but furthering that idea by involving the community in your design of marketing strategies. The brand regularly hosts fitness classes and group runs in and around its stores and using social media to broadcast these events. The sharing doubles as modeling of the clothes and reaches people in different ways than a traditional modeled fashion ad.
